Connected We Stand is a European youth event held by 5 different NGOs in 4 different European cities, Athens, Lemesos, Nafplio and Brussels on the occasion of the International Day of Peace.  Fabric Republic, Iasis AMKE Athens, Connect your City, Art Thread and KINITRO - Labyrinth of Senses joined forces to support 30,000 war victims through Connected We Stand that aspires to become an annual European youth festival! Connected We Stand is an event full of energy and youth vibes offering unique experiences and fascinating surprises for its young attendees: Live concerts, pop up markets, performances, lectures, dance acts, stand up comedy, art exhibitions, awards and lots of music!

The visual identity of Connected We Stand was created with one objective in mind: to make it appealing to a young audience but also communicate the fundamental value of peace! From hippies culture to today, how do you visualise something so rudimentary for humanity into urban youth terms?

Peace symbol revisited

Recognising the strength of all the symbols of peace, we chose the white dove as the source of our inspiration and decided to revisit it and view it through urban youth lenses. The symbol of peace is the core of the Connected We Stand visual identity and we used a 3D version of it as a canvas to project different kinds of activities on it creating a colourful, energetic, joyful and trendy result.

Peace, love & youth - a complete visual identity

The Connected We Stand visual identity brings together one of the most recognised symbols of peace with urban youth culture with the sole purpose to appeal to youth in major European cities where the event was held for the first time. The revisited symbol of peace is an inventive vehicle to communicate the values of peace in a contemporary manner. It is a versatile design element that allows creative space for the production of each of the materials produced for the event where colour and coolness come together to reach out to urban youth and communicate the universal value of peace.
