A 40th anniversary to remember

On the occasion of its 40th anniversary celebration, Agapi Beach Resort commissioned us to create a visual communications system that would promote the complex and proud Cretan cuisine and its unique ingredients, while inviting guests to an unforgettable culinary and cultural Cretan experience.

The past meets the future in striking illustrations

Drawing inspiration from the island’s unique culinary history and the warm-hearted hotel personnel, we developed 25 signages to be placed throughout the hotel. Focusing on the human aspect of Cretan hospitality, we developed fourteen portrait illustrations of the hotel staff members’ grandparents. The signages are hand-made and unique in their approach to detail. Imprinted on wood and then softened by a coat of paint, signages retain the roughness of the wooden texture, reminiscent of the Cretan land and its people.
